Golden Hearts team, we did it! A long, curvy, bumpy, and slippery ride of 4 hours from Dong Hoi, Quang Binh to Lom Village... Our van was not able to make it through the muddy roads (the car was stuck in mud twice). We were finally rescued by an experienced local driver who was able to take the group all the way to Lom Village. A journey like no other, an experience of a lifetime. We successfully transported rice, backpacks, blankets, jackets, clothing, stuffed animals, and candy to the children of Lom Village. It took a total of 12 ours to complete our mission, including the time spent trying to get our car unstuck in mud :p and minor difficulties faced along the road.
