Nhan Huynh Dang’s, Tra On, Vinh Long

Bich Thuy is a representative of Golden Hearts from Vietnam. She recently visited Nhan Huynh Dang’s house in Tra On, Vinh Long. She was able to witness what Nhan’s family currently calls their home. It is nothing more than a plot of land with wooden frames held together to cover them from rain and shine. What is left of this place after years of wear and tear is a house that can literally collapse any minute.

Nhan comes from a family with many hardships. His mother suffers from spinal problems and his father suffers from heart disease. They have no land to farm on and suffer making ends meet. His mother is a seamstress for a living, but due to her back problems, she must keep labor to a minimum. Nhan’s father tries to make ends meet by doing whatever he is called to do, but with heart disease, he can’t do much either.

We are blessed with so much living in the U.S.; it is hard to imagine how miserable these people’s lives are, with the bare minimum to survive on. I hope that after reading about Nhan’s family situation, you will open up your hearts and donate whatever you can in hope of raising enough money to build a home for their family. With a home, Nhan and his brother will have a place where they can live comfortably in and focus on their studies and maintain their status as outstanding students.

On behalf of Golden Hearts, I hope you will open up your hearts in this New Year to help improve Nhan’s family situation. Every donation, even just a small amount will make a difference. All donations will be tax deductible. Please contact me if you would like to contribute to this cause. Please make checks to “Friends of the Vu Heritage Foundation”. Thank you for unwavering support and faith in Golden Hearts.

Happy 2014 everyone.
